WaMu is FDIC insured?

many people say it is yet when I visited the website if you read the fine print at the bottom it says that WAMU Inc. are not insured by the FDIC. WWW.WAMU.COM Personally im really confused because the same people that working with WAMU say its insured by the FDIC.

This refers only to their insurance products and investment. All bank accounts would be insured with them. I would still avoid them because they are likely to be insolvent, very soon (in your account is assured, but who needs the hassle), but bank account and be insured.
